Check these Firefox extensions

Basically, I'm lazy person. Don't like to click, if I don't have to. Don't like to open new tab if I don't have to.
Browsers are far from perfect and should be reinvented. Chrome is good idea. Its fast, reliable, but it doesn't have big community.
And I need as much as possible useful plugins, add-ons, Bookmarklet. I want to right-click images to Flickr, to post to Blogger or Twitter etc.
A lot of those plugins are built for Firefox and use them regularly.
Two of my favorite are:
Bookmarklet from bit.ly. Their sidebar, is true time saver.
Instapaper has cool bookmarklet.

But there are a lot of missing pieces and every browsing created urge in me to develop some missing Firefox plugins in order to make life easier.

Let me present:
Instaright!. Instapaper Firefox plugin that allows you to bookmark link to Instapaper without need to follow link.

Contextual Wikipedia Plugin (CWP) is ambitious Firefox plugin that analyze page for you and link most relevant topics to Wikipedia. Idea for this plugin came when I realized that I visit ~10 Wikipedia paged on daily bases and how this can be avoided.

Web 3.0 is approaching and everybody is running towards that goal.
Twitter is leading race and it gave its API to developers so they can make something monetizable. Google use Hosebird API, so it can change its search result page and include real-time results. Facebook changes its front page so it can join race.

Mozilla is also player who waits its change in background and you can follow real-time number of downloads of Firefox instances.
Stay tuned.

Banks disruption

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - SEPTEMBER 18: In thi...Image by Getty Images via Daylife

We were witnessing greatest increase in growth of human history. Exponential growth stated from late 70s in US continued through 80s. In 90ties growth was backed by boom of IT and Internet, which peaked with Dot Com Boom.

That grow rate involved lots of Ponzi schemes, leveraging, in order to justify projected revenues. Capital got centralized and Banks got bigger then countries it self.
This growth recently stopped with collapsing real estate markets and implosion of system will dragged trillions of dollars in order to sustain previous economic system. System that was build on rules from beginning of 20th century.

Current economy is too slow compared to internet economy. Can current growth rate of capital follow rapid evolution of internet from 1.0, Web 2.0 and not 3.0 aka "real-time search" web?
With inflation from 2-3% per year and saving interest rate of 5%, will retirement of $100K be enough within 20 years? Money need to flow faster, middle man should be skipped.

Capital need exponential growth and where can we find place for growth capital needs?

I'll go with very bold statement and try to explain it further bellow.

Existing banking system need to be bypassed and move to virtual goods.
Why would some one by non-existing goods for real money?
As crazy this might seem for someone and on this point stops reading this post, people do it for years.
Well, you have bought video game, right? Purchased music on iTunes? If your playing online game, have you will payed for better weapon ? On 3D chatting site imvu, people buy virtual clothes, virtual ferraries.

Still its not billion dollar business, but will be.
This kind of growth can sustain capitalism and its foundation. Big players are in the game, Facebook and Google. Facebook has incorporated micro-transactions around virtual goods, primarily gifts for now. tumblr is an interesting case in point. they have launched a feature called tumbularity. it’s effectively your blogging score. if tumblr incorporates more game like elements into the service, then its possible that a user pay model could emerge.

Online payment systems like Paypal or BillMeLater are natural steps towards that goal.
But those payments systems are not game-changing, since a lot of people are not willing to put their credit card numbers out on net. Existing payment systems were not born on the web but we where forced on us by Banks. And Banks will not bring anything game-changing.
Internet economy act totally different with growth greater then 4-5%. Facebook and Tweeter have growths of 75%-100% yearly. This fast new economy deserves its own currency which is pegged to its growth. This new currency will be immune to real money problems, like inflation. There is problem of conversion of web currency to real money. If it could stand for itself as valid currency outside internet, you could use it on your credit cards and buy real goods in malls, grocery store or pay for your gym.

Any thoughts?

HTC Hero price announced

I have never wrote about mobile phones before, nor their are my expertise. Last week one mobile phone really got my full attention.
HTC HERO
Reason I found this phone interesting is its disruptive nature. This "Twitter Happy" phone, oriented towards best web experience, based on Google Android platform, could disrupt iPhone game. And love business that spoil game for big players. It is in my disruptive nature.
That's what phones should be about, best possible web experience. Easy status change on Facebook, twitting, uploading photos on Flickr. It could be my second best "pick on the draft" since Sony rejected Sony-Erricson plans to build PSP mobile phone. WOW , that would be awesome! Big 5-7 inch display used as portable console, browser with full PC experience and e-book reader. That would be disruptive!

Since, HTC announced Hero on 24th of June, I've been inpatient so get more news. When will it be available, which price will it have? I knew that its gonna be available in July across Europe.
Today, I found that Amazon made pre-sale offer of stunning £429.00 and made note that price could be changed. Probably up. At least price is disruptive. The end.
