It is amazing how hard work can look to someone like overnight success.
Even, only 6 years old, they are benchmark for every online project and another to Internet as a platform. This vision is pursued by lost of smart people , like Mark Andreesen , but Facebook is closest towards this goal with its pluggable apps.
